Who we are
Authentic Digital is a sole trader business providing LinkedIn presence management services to engineering, technical and B2B businesses. We operate under the trading name Authentic Digital and are based in the United Kingdom.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal information we collect through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at hello@authenticdigital.uk.
What information we collect
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Contact form — your name, business name, email address, package interest and any details you include in your message.
- Core package sign-up form — your name, role, business name, sector, email address, LinkedIn company page URL, and information about your current LinkedIn presence and goals.
- Free guide download (cheat sheet) — your email address, provided when you request the free LinkedIn Content Guide.
We do not collect payment card details through this website. Any payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider.
We also collect limited technical data automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type and pages visited, via standard web hosting analytics provided by Netlify.
How we use your information
We use the personal information you provide for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry or sign-up request
- To assess whether our services are a good fit for your business
- To send you the free LinkedIn Content Guide you have requested
- To contact you about our services where you have expressed interest
- To fulfil and manage any services you take up with us
We will only send you marketing communications where you have indicated interest in our services or explicitly consented. You can opt out at any time by emailing us at hello@authenticdigital.uk.
Our legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and assess potential client relationships, where our interest in doing so is not overridden by your rights.
- Contract — where you have signed up to a service agreement, we process your data to fulfil and manage that contract.
- Consent — where you have provided your email address to receive our free guide or marketing communications.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected:
- Enquiry and sign-up form data — retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, unless a business relationship is established.
- Client data — retained for 6 years from the end of the business relationship, in line with HMRC requirements for financial records.
- Email list data — retained until you unsubscribe or request removal.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data with the following trusted service providers who help us operate our business:
- Netlify — our website hosting and form submission provider
- Google Workspace — for email communication and document storage
- Wave — for invoicing and financial records (clients only)
All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to have inaccurate data corrected
- The right to have your data deleted (the "right to be forgotten")
- The right to restrict or object to our processing of your data
